About Me + Polymer Clay Stuff
Hai there ❤︎
I'm Sakura, just a normal teen tryna make cute polymer clay charms/ desk friends/ whatever you would like to call them. I love art, and I play the piano (at a decently well level ig.) If you have any questions about me or the products I make, feel free to email me at problematicmesooo@gmail.com. ILY 🎵 /( •⩊• )/ \( >⩊< )\ 🎵
Now, the basics about what I make and a lil bit of info on polymer clay;
- Polymer clay is an oven bake clay, and it will NEVER harden unless baked (unlike air-dry clay.) It is also harder, normally, than air-dry clay, and I make everything in my shop from polymer clay.
- I normally use the brands Sculpey III, Sculpey Premo, and Cernit. I also typically mix my own colors when making these small creations
- I glaze all of my charms with several thin coats of UV resin to give my charms that (satisfying) shine
- I use the brand Let's Resin and UV nail lamps for curing
- The resin is not just used purely for looks; it also helps with protecting the charms as well
NOTE: Just because polymer clay is strong and UV resin makes it stronger does not mean it is not fragile. Please be careful with these creations, and when I package them, I will do my best to ensure they will not break.
FURTHER NOTE: Please do not try to clean the whole entire charm with rubbing alcohol. While this is not common, I did observe some resins (melt) when touched even slightly with alcohol.
If you are curious about how I make my charms/packaging, I (may or may not) be trying to start vlogs on this very topic. Stay tuned for any type of insta/tiktok/youtube content I might be starting! I will be sure to update this page if the day comes.
I'll be ever so happy if you purchase one of my creations, and keep in mind that this is all handmade, and takes me hours to make. Thank you!!
